After a full six months of monitoring Bee Creek, our count shows two years in a row of dropping numbers a Cutthroat. On an average for every gee trap placed in the creek, we recorded about two trout and for each month of monitoring the average recorded dropped to around thirteen. The monthly count however ranged from 30 to a low of around five.

2024 was a wonderful year for learning new aspects of Bee Creek. In September, CRD conducted extensive testing of the creek, to measure water quality and take samples of invertebrates. The invertebrate were also studied by our team and we are taking a more holistic, broader view of Bee Creek, to include not only Cutthroat, but natural vegetation, weather, and the invertebrates and insects that live in the water.
